Our Story

When choosing Viking Doorways you are supporting a small family run business who genuinely care about each job we commit ourselves too. The most unique part of Viking Doorways is that we were created completely unintentionally as we were customers ourselves seeking gate options for our then crawling toddler. After scouring the market, nothing matched our aesthetic. So Mike did what he does so naturally and got to work. After testing a few different woods, using his own two hands our barnwood option was created and his love for carpentry came to life. Anyone and everyone that came over to our home complimented our stairwell gate and asked how they could purchase one and Mike's hobby became even more exciting.

This is where we got our idea to take this business to the next level & in 2020 in the heat of the pandemic we started selling stairwell gates exclusively until the market and customers told us they wanted more & our specialty in Barndoor’s began. Every product that comes from our shop is completely handmade from start to finish even from the boards that we select we hand pick ourselves. We guarantee you will always be getting pieces made with quality & real love.

She prides herself on truly listening to the customers wants & needs and helping them create a custom piece for their dream space.
